Our evening is coming to a close and Walid leaves early hours of the morning for the train back to Paris and a flight to Cairo.. We are all delighted that the El Mougy family has totaly embraced this Reunion of brothers after 60 years apart. This is a new beginning of two families uniting after being apart for nearly a generation. I'm sure we will never know the answers to how Sami and Jim were seperated but this bears no relation to the relationship that we all can have in the future..Thank you Walid for taking the time away from your family during Ramadan and the long effort to fly from Munich to Paris and the 5 hour train journey to Nice just to meet us. We are thrilled.

We all go out for a meal in Mougins village. There is lots to talk about and lots to catch up on. We discuss our different lives and also the resemblances of our lives. Walid too has three children with Reham his lovely wife, two boys and one girl. We all commit to catching up with the whole family somewhere in the world, maybe Kenya, maybe Egypt, maybe Morocco, maybe Australia.

Walid arrives for a first time reunion with the family. We went to Nice Train Station to collect him and was concerned that we wouldn't recognise him. No chance!! The moment Walid saw Jim he knew straight away that was his Uncle. The resemblance to his father was uncanny.
